Jerome van Gool

Born in the Netherlands, Jerome’s passion for motorsport began at an early age, inspired by the GT Endurance and Touring Car races he grew up watching. After completing a degree in mechanical engineering, he entered the suspension industry in 1990. Since then, he has spent over three decades designing, building, and servicing dampers for top-level teams such as Alfa Corse, PTG, and GM, across series including ALMS, Trans-Am, DTM, and the World GT Championship.

Career highlights include leading the development of complete product lines for renowned racing damper manufacturers and contributing to factory programmes for BMW, Porsche, and Oreca. His work has supported more than 100 championship wins across Europe, Asia, and North America including victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Nürburgring 24, and titles in FIA GT, Touring Car, and Sportscar competitions.

Today, Jerome continues to bring that same dedication and engineering excellence to the daily operations and product development at MCS.

Lex Carson

With 26 years of experience in the performance shock industry, Lex is a fixture at professional, amateur, and club race events across North America. Having worked with four different respected manufacturers during this time both in sales and hands-on technical roles, he has a full understanding of the diverse range of products and technology found in the damper market. Additionally, Lex has successfully supported championship-winning professional teams.

With over three decades in the performance shock industry, Lex is a well-known presence at racetracks across North America. He has played a hands-on role in supporting teams in top-tier U.S. series including IMSA, SRO, Trans Am, and their respective support series, bringing deep technical expertise to both professional and amateur paddocks.

Having worked with four respected damper manufacturers in both sales and technical roles, Lex possesses a broad and detailed understanding of the suspension market. His experience spans championship-winning professional teams, club racers, and private enthusiasts, all of whom rely on his ability to deliver well-informed, track-proven support.

Kent McCray

With over four decades in the automotive industry, Kent brings exceptional versatility to the MCS team. His career has included roles as a professional mechanic, shop owner, machinist, fabricator, designer, and data specialist, all underpinned by more than 20 years of focus on hydraulics, the foundation of damper performance.

Kent’s motorsport background is equally wide-ranging, with hands-on experience in drag racing, sand drags, dirt late models, modifieds, and GT and Touring Car programmes. His work has contributed to multiple championship-winning efforts in both IMSA and World Challenge.

At MCS, Kent serves as a builder, prototyper, and designer, applying a deeply practical engineering mindset rooted in real-world experience. His ability to develop solutions from first principles enables MCS to deliver damper systems that are not only more durable and reliable, but designed to win.
