MCS 2WR

The MCS 2WR damper is a 2-way adjustable suspension system featuring external reservoirs that allow for precise gas pressure adjustment. Both compression and rebound damping can be independently tuned, with the compression adjuster located on the reservoir head and the rebound adjuster positioned at the shaft end for easy access.

Compression damping is managed by a proprietary blow-off valve on the main piston, ensuring precise and consistent response, while rebound damping is controlled via precision-engineered orifices in the damper body. This setup provides a wide operating range with consistent adjustment increments, reducing the need for frequent re-valving.

Gas pressure can be finely tuned via a Schrader valve on the remote reservoir, adjustable between 6 and 18 bar, improving vehicle support and stability during cornering. The monotube design enhances damper stability, with increased oil capacity and superior heat dissipation compared to twin-tube dampers

Featuring large-diameter shafts for low-friction side-load support and a high-response main piston, the 2WR damper delivers fast, accurate damping control. The remote reservoirs also improve fluid temperature management and can be equipped with Staubli dry-break fittings for quick and easy installation in professional motorsport environments.

Adjustability

The MCS 2WR damper is a 2-way adjustable suspension system offering 18 clicks of compression and 18 clicks of rebound adjustment. Its application-specific valving is designed to work seamlessly with a wide range of spring rates, minimising the need for frequent re-valving. Each adjustment provides precise, clearly defined feedback, allowing confident and repeatable tuning without overshooting the ideal setup.

The 2WR dampers are supplied as standard with a high-performance linear piston, with an optional digressive piston available for drivers seeking alternative damping characteristics and more advanced tuning flexibility.

18 Clicks of Compression Adjustment

On the MCS 2WR damper, compression damping is easily adjusted with 18 distinct settings, allowing drivers to increase platform control and make better use of the car’s mechanical contact patch. This fine-tuning capability enhances grip and stability.

18 Clicks of Rebound Adjustment

With 18 clicks of rebound adjustment, the MCS 2WR damper allows drivers to increase spring control and finely adjust the car’s handling balance, optimising cornering stability and overall suspension performance.

Gas Pressure Adjustment

Each remote reservoir on the MCS 2WR damper is equipped with a Schrader valve, providing a valuable tuning tool that allows precise adjustment of nitrogen gas pressure within the damper. By increasing or decreasing reservoir pressure, drivers can alter the overall platform support of the vehicle to suit specific road conditions and driving styles.
Reservoir pressure is adjustable between 6 and 18 bar, enabling improved chassis stability during high-speed cornering where large loads are generated, or allowing greater weight transfer to enhance traction in low-grip scenarios.

REBOUND ADJUSTER KNOB

Compression Adjuster Knob

Connected to the internal compression adjustment mechanism. Allows user to change compression damping forces easily.

Compression Main Piston Assembly

Contains proprietary internal adjustment mechanism for compression damping forces.

Dividing Piston

Separates the gas cavity from the oil cavity.

Schrader Valve

Make gas pressure changes easily with a shock tool.

Rebound Adjustment Mechanism

Proprietary adjustment mechanism to manipulate rebound damping forces.

Main Piston Assembly

Generates overall valving range. Valving can be manipulated by changing the non-preloaded shim stack configuration on the compression and rebound sides of the piston.

Support Piston

Provides additional lateral support on piston end of shaft assembly.

Shaft Guide

Creates additional lateral support on shaft-end side of shaft assembly.

Shaft

Also known as piston rod. Responsible for displacing fluid in the damper body to be controlled by piston assembly and adjustment mechanism. We utilize 22mm diameter shafts for strut applications and 16mm diameter for shock applications on the 1WNR damper system.

Rebound Adjuster Knob

Connected to the internal rebound adjustment mechanism and allows user to change rebound damping forces easily.
