Service & Repair
We operate a fully equipped, dedicated service department to handle damper servicing, repairs, and re-valving.
Damper service intervals vary with usage and the environment in which your dampers are used. Our general recommendation for service intervals is as follows:
- Street use: every 40,000 km
- Street / HPDE (High Performance Driver Events): every 24,000–32,000 km
- Sprint racing: every 150 hours of use
- Sprint / Endurance racing: every 125 hours of use
- Full endurance racing: every 75 hours of use
- General recommendation: at least every 5 years, regardless of mileage or hours
Send your Dampers in for Service
All MCS dampers submitted for service must be accompanied by a completed Service Request Form. Dampers sent without this form may experience processing delays or, in rare cases, risk misidentification or loss.
Before sending your dampers, please follow these guidelines:
- Remove all top mounts, bushings, and springs from the dampers. Sending dampers with these components increases labour time and associated costs.
- Leave spring hardware in place on the damper bodies. In most cases, we do not need to adjust these positions. However, we recommend noting their location in case adjustment is required during service.
- If your dampers use quick-disconnect fittings (e.g. Staubli dry-breaks), include the reservoirs. Servicing cannot be completed without them.
By following these instructions, you help ensure efficient processing and accurate service of your damper system.
